Simple Banana Cake

After I started blogging and reading a lot about food, cooking and recipes, I felt more confident in my skill. I couldn’t wait of preheat my oven every morning waiting to put something delicious to bake. Who wouldn’t want hot muffins or cake right from the oven on their plate in the morning?

We see the banana vender carts offer perfect ripe lovely yellow banana everywhere. My cute little monkey loves banana. He loves it with cereal, milkshake or just like that. But one thing that is so irresistible for him is this simple banana cake.

Banana Cake

Ingredients (4 servings)

1 1/4 cup flour

1 tsp baking powder

3 ripe bananas

1 large egg

1/2 cup sugar

30 gm butter- soften

3 tbsp milk

How to make:

Mash bananas with fork until smooth and keep aside.

Sift flour and baking powder together and keep aside.

Whish sugar, butter, milk and eggs together until smooth and all sugar is dissolved.

Add mashed banana and mix well.

Add flour mixture and mix well until smooth.

Pour the mixture into the greased tin.

Preheat the oven at 380 degree F.

Bake this cake for 20-25 minutes or until it is cooked and golden brown from the outside.

I left the cake to cool down a bit on the rack and my monkey couldn’t wait.

When I came back, everything was gone!

Do you bake in the morning?  What are you baking ?

Have a lovely weekend,
Tes

That banana cake looks so moist, light, and delicious! I have a ton of bananas on my counter, and I can see myself baking this recipe soon! Thanks! 😀

I love baking in the afternoon, in those lazy hours before dinner. Then my cookies or cake get done right in time for dessert. =)

  • Your little boy is so cute! Looks like he loved your banana cake!! I love making banana bread, but the banana here are usually so hard, so I have to leave them for a long time until they go ripe before I can use them in my banana bread.

  • I love the photo of your son nibbling on the cake! So cute.

That’s a great idea to have your oven going, inspiring you to bake. I tend to wait until the afternoons and evenings to bake, and haven’t done any baking in ages. Now that the summer berries are out, I might make a cobbler or crisp soon.

  • Banana cake looks so moist and perfectly baked…looks like your son loved your banana cake…he looks so cute..god bless..

  • The picture of your son (I call my toddler cousin Gavin and my puppy “Monkey,” too!) eating the cake is way too adorable. I wish I had a cute little monkey to gobble up my cakes, too! And this cake looks so good – I have to make it. I love all things banana.
