BBQ Sweet Garlic Chicken!

Yes, this recipe is easy. It’s done under 30 minutes, and the result was so amazing. The chicken was tender and sweet. It’s so great for appetizing your party, or snacking on road like we did on our road trip.

Usually I marinate the chicken over night but if you don’t have time leave it for 1-2 hours will be just fine.

BBQ Sweet Garlic Chicken

Ingredients: (4 servings)

500 gm chicken- sliced into thin pieces (it will be wonderful to use the chicken with a little bit of fat, if you use chicken breast, it’s probably best to leave the skin on)

2 tbsp minced garlic

3 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp mirin (sweet rice wine)

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

Oil for greasing

Cooking:

Mix garlic, soy sauce, sugar, mirin, salt and pepper in the large bowl.

Add chicken and marinate for 1-2 hours or overnight in the fridge.

Grease the skillet and place it over the medium heat.

Add then chicken and fry about 2 minutes each side or until cooked and tender.

Serve hot with chili sauce and fresh cucumber.

We were so impatient to try the chicken when it was still sizzled in the hot pan. The garlic gave a wonderful tone to this delicious chicken. It was sweet and juicy leaving the trail of smoke in the kitchen which made my home smell like Asian food streets. It was really the perfect bite….and disappeared really fast.
