Nutella and Blueberry Pop Tart

I am not a good baker, and not a delicate one but I do know how to yield some goodies from the oven every now and then. Every room in the house kindly embraces the welcoming smell distributed by our small oven. 2 cups of coffee and a cup of milk were ready at the breakfast table, when the hot tray was pulled out, we grasped and dunked the hot bites in our drink. Baking makes breakfast special and inviting.

Homemade pop tart is very easy and fun to make. I love making the pastry from scratch because it smells more fresh and buttery while baking. Frankly, how hard is it to make pie pastry, and it is always better and healthier when you do everything yourself.

Blueberry preserve

1 egg- beaten


  1. Roll out the pie dough into thin sheet and cut into 2 inches X 1 1/2 inches sheets.
  2. Add Nutella and blueberry preserve in the center of one of the sheet and cover with another. Press the edge gentle with the tip of the fork. Repeat the process until all pastry is used. Lightly brush the pie with beaten egg.
  3. Preheat the oven at 220 degree C and bake the pop tart for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Pop tart is any kid friendly treat. Nutella and blueberry is a beautiful combination. The thick, nutty, creamy chocolate wrapped around juicy, tangy, sweet blueberry in the golden, crunch shell. The crispy, buttery crust cracked open and let the dark, gooey seduction reveal, at this point… nobody could resist the temptation.
