There’s more than one way to go from point A to point B. And in travels, we always open to try the routes we never took before. So, when we went to Dapoli a few weeks ago, we decided to take another route to come home. That way, we got to see more places, and it was more exciting driving in somewhere new.
So this part of our journey is a continuation of the previous post where we spend our enthusiastic morning in Harne Fish Market. Here is the map of the route we took.
From Harne Fish market, we drove toward Anjarle. We followed the directions on google map. But you know sometimes you can’t trust this thing. I wouldn’t recommend you using this route because it’s very narrow and tricky. The best way to do this is going back a little to take the coastal highway.
When we came out of the rough path, we found a bridge over the backwater river. There were many boats stopping there. It was really beautiful. You can see the river join the sea with the mountains surrounding the view.
From here we drive toward Mahad. The road from here is good, and the sourrounding landscapes are beautiful.
It was nice to not feel frustrated about traffic for a change. Every road we took was quiet and peaceful.
The sky is so bright and blue. After a while we started to climb up the mountains. The vast views on the side just took our breath away.
This place is called Varandha Ghat. It’s a moutain passages between NH4 and Konkan region of Maharashtra.
It was a sweet day.
We had fun just to look outside the car windows and absorb everything around us.
It’s so green everywhere. Do you notice that horizontal line cut on the mountain? That’s our road.
We stopped quite often to take the pictures. I was glad we decided to try this route. It’s so beautiful.
There’re so many kinds of wildflowers growing on the side of the road. They spread everywhere.
Here is Nera-Deoghar Lake. It’s so massive. The water is so clean and sparking.
Such a precious place.
The breeze around the lake is gentle and relaxing.
We drove along the lake for hour. It’s really gigantic.
This year the state of Maharashtra has received a lot of rain water.
Look at the roadsides, there’re wild marigolds everywhere. So gorgeous.
We had lunch at a highway restaurant in NH4. Sadly I forgot the name of the restaurant, but the food was good and cheap.
This place is so beautiful it inspires us to think about a lot more place to visit. I thought I went all over Maharashtra, but it seems I wasn’t even close to see everything. Soon we’re going to go out again. I can’t wait to tell you all about our next adventure.
