Mangoes are still in season, and I intend to savor them as much while I can. I don’t just love mangoes when they are perfectly ripe, sweet and golden, but I also love them when they’re raw and crunchy. They’re perfect for salad. I chop and slice and throw them in the bowl. They are great with grilled meat or even veggies.
I shared Thai mango salad recipe before in my blog, but this version is much easier. There are only few ingredients in this recipe. I use smoky chili flakes to give this dish intense heat. It’s very addictive. Hope you give it a try.
Raw Mango Salad
2 cup of shredded raw mango
2 cloves garlic- minced
2 tsp dried red chili flakes (or as per your liking)
1 ½ tsp sugar
1 tbsp fish sauce or to taste (you can also use salt to taste)
Few cherry tomatoes
Mix all ingredients together and toss well. Check the seasoning and serve.
Raw Mango Salad is good with grilled meat especially seafood. I love spicy mango salad with grilled fish. It’s the perfect combination. Here in this post I serve it with turkey bacon and stir fried noodle.
