I love miso soup that is served along with the meal in Japanese restaurants. My boys absolutely hate it so it benefits me because I can have two extra bowls of soup every time. At home, I serve miso soup selfishly in a big bowl just for me when I make Japanese Inspired meal. I love to have it along with rice. It is comforting and satisfying.
Miso soup is very easy to make. It takes about 7-10 minutes or so. I love the pungent, fermented fragrant in this soup. It is very light and warm.
2 tbsp miso paste
½ tbsp instant Dashi Granules
1 tbsp dried seaweed- washed and soaked in water
¼ cups diced tofu
4 cups water
Chopped green onion for garnishing
Bring water to boil and add instant dashi. Stir until the granules are dissolved.
Simmer and add tofu and seaweed. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
In a small bowl, add miso paste and ladle some dash broth in it. Now stir until smooth and add miso paste into the broth and stir well. Turn off the heat immediately.
Check the flavor. If you want the soup to be more intense, then add more miso paste. Add some chopped green onion for garnishing.
