  • Dear Tes,

I liked your blog and is quiet informative. I wanted to organize an outdoor activity for my friends at Pawna Lake, and indulging in some water sports. Can you please share some more details about the same, like contact no. or some email of the orgainzer? Thanks

Keep tripping and sharing your experiences..

    • Tes

      Hi Atul,
Sorry for replying this so late. We were on vacation in Thailand last week. Pawna lake is really a beautiful lake, less pollution and less commercial. I cannot think of any other perfect spot for outdoor activity and picnic near Pune/Mumbai like this one.
I do not have any kind of contact of organizer there because we just went there on a small family trip. Though I do think that you do not need one if you just want to have a casual event with friends. Water sports include boating, water cycling, water jet ski and banana boat (I think..) are available, and I have seen a lot of people really enjoyed themselves out there.
As it is less commercialize, you will expect less restaurant that serve full course meal, so it’s better you cook some food for picnic or carry takeout from outside. Pack a lot of drinking water, juice or cold drink and maybe ice cubes because it is really hot and you will need a lot.
There is a lot of private properties along the lakeside that don’t allow the entry to the water, but if you asked the local you should find the perfect spot you can hangout, picnic and swim.
I hope this help a little bit, and sorry that I don’t have any contact no. of the organizer there. If you are organizing the formal event or big party, you should visit the lake the previous day, talk to the locals or book the water sports activities etc.. I am sure you can have a deal with the local resort to arrange food and rooms for you too, if you ask them in advance.
Hope you have a beautiful trip and let me know how it goes :)
      Tes,
